Aisen (Aysen also spelled) is the eleventh administrative region of Chile. It is the least populated region of Chile, and continues to be a region with severe communication problems because of topographical features that make it extremely difficult to quickly improve its infrastructure. The region is known for its unique ecological characteristics including unspoiled habitat for many native species.
