Maldives

The Maldives are an archipelago in Southern Asia, formed by 1190 coral islands grouped into 26 natural coral atolls in the Indian Ocean. They are positioned south and southwest of India.

These islands are like paradise on earth. They are perfect place for water-sports and sun enthusiasts. On the natural atolls it is possible to go for night-fishing trips, scuba-diving and windsurfing. The beauty of the islands, the transparent blue water and the white sands along with top luxury resorts make of Maldives, something you will not want to miss.

The weather in Maldives is tropical – hot, humid and dry. The rainy season is from July to August because of the southwest monsoon and from November to March due to northeast monsoon. December to April is probably the best time to visit Maldives.

From the 1.190 coral islands of Maldives, only 200 are inhabited, being most of them are covered by abundant tropical vegetation and palm trees.

Boats from the various islands travel from the airport to take the visitor to their accommodations or to Malé centre.
